UTOPIA’s twelfth track, “CIRCUS MAXIMUS” shares a title with Travis Scott’s debut film — directed by himself — both of which were inspired by the attraction in Ancient Rome, which was a chariot-racing stadium, and a venue reserved for Italian entertainment. The track was unveiled via UTOPIA’s tracklist, shared under two hours before its release. It unites Swae Lee, The Weeknd, & Travis Scott for a grandiose cut — baring striking resemblance to Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” — that plays into the idea of Circus Maximus, more specifically its action and entertainment fed to the crowd, who in modern day are the listeners of UTOPIA.
