"Watered Down" is a song recorded by American country music artist Trace Adkins. It was released as the third single to his 15th studio album, Something's Going On. Adkins found himself feeling drawn to the song more than any other on the album, telling Country Rebel in an interview, "Lyrically, from the very first line it really encapsulates and summarizes where I find myself, it seems, at this point in my life." Following the release of Something's Going On, Adkins released a YouTube series called Story Behind The Song, recording a short video for each track on the album, in which he shared his thoughts on the individual songs. In the "Watered Down" video, Adkins explained how much the song means to him: "A very reflective song. Speaks to where I think I kinda find myself today, my head space.
